How Soon Should You Form Your Corporation or LLC?
It’s a common question and I have some answers
It’s a common question I get in different forms.
When should you form your corporation or llc?
When is too soon?
When is too late?
In general you’ll want to have your company formed before you get into real operations.
Business entities generally protect your personal assets from some claims so before you get out there having a risk of having lawsuits you’ll want to have an entity in place.
But some businesses build significant assets before they start operating.
Think of software and patents. In those cases you’ll generally want an entity around to house those assets.
